The person who outwardly controls the five organs of action , but mentally recalls the objects of the senses, is a person of delusion, a hipocrite. (6)

A hipocrisia é o ato de fingir ter crenças, virtudes, ideias e sentimentos que a pessoa na verdade não possui. A palavra deriva do latimhypocrisis e do grego hupokrisis ambos significando a representação de um ator, atuação, fingimento (no sentido artístico). Essa palavra passou, mais tarde, a designar moralmente pessoas que representam, que fingem comportamentos.
Hypocrisy is the act of pretending to have beliefs, virtues, ideas and feelings that the person actually does not. The word derives from the Greek and latimhypocrisis hupokrisis both meaning play a representation of an actor, acting, pretending (in the artistic sense). That word came later to appoint people who represent morally, pretending to conduct.
Hipocrisia é pretensão ou fingimento de ser o que não é. Hipócrita é uma transcrição do vocábulo grego "hypochrités". Os actores gregos usavam máscaras de acordo com o papel que representavam numa peça teatral. É daí que o termo hipócrita designa alguém que oculta a realidade atrás de uma máscara de aparência.
Hypocrisy is pretense or pretending to be what is not. Hypocrite is a transcript from the Greek word "hypochrités. Greek actors wore masks according to the paper that represented a play.That's where the word hypocrite means someone who hides reality behind a mask of appearance.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! since traverse sea and land to make one proselyte, and after having made the, the child of hell you do two times more than you. "
