O Rei Dasharatha, da dinastia solar (Surya vamsa), não teve filhos por algum tempo, fez um ritual e a deidade do fogo sagrado lhe deu 4 filhos com suas tres esposas Kaushalya, Sumitrae Kaikeyi. Vishwamitra then led the two brothers to the court of King Janaka, the governor of Mithila.Todos the descendants of this dynasty were also known as Videha and Janaka. By the grace of sage Yagyavalkya, all of them reached enlightenment. This dynasty, Sita was born the "Janaka Seeradhwaja.
Vidheha Janakas were great scholars. It is believed that they were the oldest among the clans that have migrated from the river Saraswati once the river began to dry, Videha Thus it became the seat of Vedic Knowledge inherited from the Saraswati Valley Civilization.

Seeradhwaja Janaka foi um grande estudioso e uma pessoa iluminada. Seeradhwaja Janaka was a great scholar and an enlightened person. Janaka whose mind and heart was absorbed in thoughts of God, was impressed with the vision of Rama and Lakshmana.
