Chapter 14 Verse: 7 Gunatraya Vibhaga Yoga : The Yoga of discrimination of the Triple Qualities of Nature; O Yoga da Discriminação das triplas Qualidades da Natureza.

rajo ragãtmakamn viddi

trsnãsangasamudbhavam

tan nibadhãnãti  kaunteya

karmasangena dehinam

Know that rajas is characterized by passion ( Attraction) arising from desire and attachm1ent. It binds fast by attachment to action, O son of Kunti, the indwelling Self in the body. (14;07)

Saiba que rajas é caracterizada pela paixão (atração) decorrente do desejo e apego. Ele se liga rapidamente pelo apego à ação, ó filho de Kunti, o Eu que habita no corpo.(14:07)

Rajasic people are full of activity and restlessness.
Pessoas rajasicas  estão cheias de atividade e inquietação.

They have extreme passion for physical pleasure, food, anger,and pride..
Elas têm paixão extrema pelo prazer físico, comida, raiva e orgulho

The satisfaction of desire breeds more desire,
A satisfação do desejo gera mais desejo,

They are engrossed in many wordly things
Elas estão envolvidas em muitas coisas mundanas

People in the rajasic mode of nature are always charged with passion, ambition and desire.
As pessoas no modo rajasico da natureza, são sempre carregadas de paixão, ambição e desejo.

Lord calls Arjuna Kaunteya - the son of sharp intelligence,
O Senhor chama Arjuna de Kaunteya - o filho de inteligência penetrante.-

Without the finest memory and intelligence, you cannot be free from the rajasic nature.
Sem a melhor  das memórias e inteligência, você não pode estar livre da natureza rajásica.

The nature of individual is shaped by inherent tendencies and experiences of the past.
A natureza do indivíduo é moldada por tendências inerentes e experiências do passado.

Rajas is in the chakras: svadhisthana ( dominating rajas  and tammas), manipura ( dominating rajas   with sattva) anahata ( with sattva in balance,vishudha ( with sattva but sattva dominating)
Rajas está nos chacras: svadhisthana (rajas dominando e tammas), manipura (rajas dominando com sattva) anahata (com sattva e em equilíbrio), Vishudha (com sattva mas sattva dominante)

When , through the grace of guru and the grace of the Self, one follows the path of self discipline by introverting the senses and eliminating the lower tendencies, one slow experiences the soul.
Quando, através da graça do guru e a graça do Self, se segue o caminho da auto-disciplina por introversão dos sentidos e eliminação das tendências inferiores, ocorre lentamente a experiência da alma.

sarvayoniso kauteya

murtayah sambhavanti yãh

tãsãm brahma mahad yonir

aham bijapradah pitã

Whatever forms come from any womb, O Son of Kunti ( Arjuna), the great Brahman is their womb, and I am the father who sows the seed. (14;04)

Seja qual for a forma que vier de qualquer ventre, ó filho de Kunti (Arjuna), o grande Brahman é seu ventre, e eu sou o pai, que espalha a semente.(14:04)

Kunti means sharp intelligence and the finest conception.
Kunti significa inteligência aguçada e a  melhor concepção.

This quality, remain in the pituitary and the listen.
Esta qualidade, permanece na pituitária e no ouvir.

The Lord is the father , I am the mother, I am the breath in the nostrils of both.
O Senhor é o pai, eu sou a mãe, sou a respiração nas narinas de ambos.

I am the seed of everything. I am Brahma the Almighty creator.
Eu sou a semente de tudo. Eu sou Brahma o criador Todo-Poderoso.


My marvelous power is called mahad- brahma, which refers to the great Brahma, the prakriti in every human being.
Meu poder maravilhoso é chamado brahma mahad-, que remete para o grande Brahma, a prakriti em cada ser humano.

Perceive everything as My living presence.
Perceba tudo como Minha presença viva.

Constant merging with God in the synthesis of action,knowledge, and devotion.
Fusão constante com Deus na síntese da ação, conhecimento e devoção


Through meditation, life can be sacred, simple, beautiful, and pure.
Através da meditação, a vida pode ser sagrada, simples, bela e pura.

The blessed Lord said:

Arjuna You are lamenting over those who should not be lamented for.  Yet, you also speak words of wisdom. The wise grieve neither for the living, nor for the dead. (11)

O Senhor  Abençoado disse:

Arjuna Você está lamentando sobre aqueles que não merecem o seu lamento. No entanto, você também fala palavras de sabedoria. O sábio não  lamenta o que está vivo, nem  o que  está  morto. (11)

na tv evã 'ham jãtu nã ' sam

na tvam ne 'me janãdhipãh

na cai 'va na bhavisyãmah

sarve vayam atah param

In fact , there was never a time when I, you , or these kings did not exist.  Neither shall we cease to be in the future. (12)

Na verdade, nunca houve uma época em que eu, você, ou estes reis não existiram. Nem vamos deixar de ser no futuro. (12)

After childhood, youth, and old age take place in one body , the soul incarnates in another The wise person does nor have any illusion about this (13)

Após a infância, juventude e velhice ocorrerem  em um corpo, a alma encarna em outra pessoa. O sábio não, nem tem qualquer ilusão sobre isso (13)

mãtrasparsaãs tu kaunteya

sitosnasukhadhuhkhadãh

ãgamãpãyino 'nityãs

tãms titiksava bhãrata

O son of Kunti ( Arjuna) ! The contact between the senses and their objects gives rise to the feelings of heat and cold, and pleasure and pain. They are transient and fleeting; therefore, O Bharata ( Arjuna) , endure them with patience.( 14)

Ó filho de Kunti (Arjuna)! O contato entre os sentidos e os objetos dá origem à sensação de calor e frio, prazer e dor. Eles são transitórios e fugazes e, portanto, ó Bharata (Arjuna), suporte com paciência (14).

Kunti :Mother of Arjuna and Bhima Kunti:  Mother of the five Pandava brothers and of Karna. The power inside the pituitary is called kun ( dhatu ) ti, kun means atom- the finest atom point in the soul ( book 3 page 420)

Mãe de Arjuna e Bhima Kunti: mãe dos cinco irmãos Pandava com Karna. O poder dentro da pituitária é chamado kun (dhatu) ti , átomo-kun significa o ponto atômico mais sutil da alma( livro 3 página 420)

Bharata:  India ; one of the first kings of India, an epithet for Arjuna ( some times also Yudhishthira. Bha means divine ilumination and rata means engrossed - the state of expansion attained by the life force ( prana), in which brilliant divine light is perceived!

Um dos primeiros reis India, um epíteto para Arjuna (algumas vezes também Yudhishthira. Bha significa iluminação divina e estar  absorto na luz  rata -o estado da expansão alcançada pela força vital (prana), em que a brilhante luz divina é percebida !

Oh meu Senhor Supremo nos ajude a suportar com paciência as forças demoníacas do mundo da ilusão nos mantendo na  Sua Luz!

Oh my Supreme Lord help us to bear with patience the demonic forces of the world of illusion to keep us in His Light!

Oh Gurudev nos ensine a meditar corretamente e estar sempre conectados á sua Luz, que é a Luz divina até que  estejamos prontos para mergulhar profundamente nela e sermos  libertos!

Oh Gurudev teach us how to meditate properly and we are always connected to your light, which is the Divine Light until we are ready to dive deep into it and we delivered!

Mahavakya Upanishad  ( v 7 , 8- 11):
This vision shines like a thousand myriads of suns and can not be extinguished in fact in its fullness, as the ocean, deep, can not be empty. It is not therefore certain position of the Spirit that is the last stage of Yoga.Não it is not the final extinction of the mind it is one with Brahman! (7)

Tal visão brilha como mil miríades de sóis e não pode ser extinta de fato na sua plenitude,como o oceano, profundo, que não se pode esvaziar. Ela não é, portanto, certa Posição do Espírito que é ultimo estágio do Yoga.Não ela não é a extinção final da mente ela é una com Brahman!(7)

The yogi in his meditation addresses this light color of the sun, and she discerns all things, and thus knows all there is( 8)

O yogi, em sua meditação contempla esta luz da cor do sol e, por ela discerne todas as coisas e assim sabe tudo o que existe. (8)

Yes I am the sun
Supreme Light
I am Shiva,
Sunlight!
I am Agni,
Moon of the Atman!
I am He,
Light of the Universe!
