Life flows like a river. The river begins its journey in the mountain passing through them overcoming many obstacles. Ultimately it reaches the ocean, its ultimate destiny. The end of life is to merge in God. Once the river reaches the ocean, the flow becomes easy. But the course of the river itself, until it reaches the ocean is not easy. It is filled with many obstacles and difficulties. Katha Upanishad says, "Spiritual life is like walking the razor's edge"

Fortunately some tributaries or streams can join a big river that has already reached the ocean. It is much easier to reach the ocean by following a mighty river's path.
